Someone has asked a question on Tides facebook wall about the coupon beeping & being used on the $.97 trial sized Tide.
This is what Tide had to say:
Tide The coupon does not have a size restriction and is valid on all Tide detergent that is distributed by Procter & Gamble. The single use packets are not distributed by P&G and therefore the store reserves the right to choose not to accept the coupon on that item. I hope this helps with any confusion.
Tide we license the Tide name and actual product to another company (in this case Cotton Buds) to distribute one use packets of the product. It is actually Tide in the package but it is distributed by the other company. Since that product isn’t distributed by P&G the stores reserve the right to deny a manufacturer’s coupon on that product. I hope this helps.
So they are stating you can still use the coupon on these items, but if you store says no then you cannot fight it. Its up to the store to accept them or not. So using these to score some overage may be a pain and plus you wont be able to rack up that much overage as its a “limit 4″ per transaction.

Yay!!!!!!
I think it is false advertisement anyway you look at it…
They sent another stating that the store will be remburced for the 2.00 off coupons.
