I saw this recipe inside of the food magazine a couple months ago and I decided to make it once again!
Its quick, easy, cheap & yummy!

Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef
1 package (1.25 oz) taco seasoning mix
1 c. (4 oz) shredded cheddar cheese
2 tbs water
2 8-oz packages refrigerated crescent rolls
1 medium green bell pepper
1 c. salsa (optional)
3 c. lettuce, shredded (we used more — ¾ a head)
1 medium tomato, diced
¼ c. onion, chopped
½ c. pitted ripe olives
sour cream

Directions:
–Preheat oven to 375°. Brown the ground beef, then drain. Add taco season and simer

–Unroll the crescent dough; separate into triangles. Arrange triangles in a circle on a pizza pan with the wide ends toward the center of the pan, overlapping each other. It will look like a large sun with the points hanging half off the pan. There should be a 5 or 6 inch opening in the center.

–Spoon the meat mixture evenly onto widest end of each triangle. Bring points of triangles up over filling and tuck under wide ends of dough. (Filling will not be completely covered).

–Bake 18-22 minutes or until golden brown.

–Shred lettuce, dice tomato, onions, olives, green pepper, and whatever other items you want to put inside. Place them in center of the taco ring and use that as your toppings!

— Tada! Now enjoy & don’t eat to much :)

  4. 6

i think the 2T water is to add to the meat and taco seasoning :) That looks delicious!!!

  5. 7

not everyone adds water to the seasoning to flavor it…..I don't I add taco sauce to make it hotter and omit water I hate runny tacos

This recipe looks so fun! Not only as a dinner, but like a football snack, too! I will definitely be making this one.

Yeah, the taco sauce has a thickener in it. I usually add the water, but I like the idea to add taco sauce instead. We all love it extra spicy.

how do you eat it? looks awesome, but I’m curious how to serve/eat this at a party without making a mess.

    • 12

I had the same question… looks really cool but is it difficult to eat?

      • 13

Nope not at all hard to eat :]

        • 14

But HOW do you eat it??

Also- I like to make my taco meat with Salsa instead of water. :)

          • 15

I just slice it like a pie in triangle shaped pieces. A pie server works well to scoop it onto your plate. Then add your toppings from the middle. I also add a can of pinto beans (drained) to my hamburger meat mixture. It is delicious! I’ve been making this for about 15 years for my family!

I make this all the time and it’s a huge hit with the kids and friends. Only difference is I add cheese on top of the meat before covering to cook. And I also serve with sour cream for those that like it. Enjoy!

  12. 19

I have made this with 2 can chicken breast,1sm can chopped olives, 1 sm. can chili pepper , 1cup grated cheese 1/2 cup mayo & 1tbs spanish spices. Mix well . Assemble & bake like the taco ring above.

I made this for dinner tonight for my husband and I and cut the recipe in half.. Delicious!!! We love it!

  15. 22

This looks good but I am gonna omit the green bell peppers when I make it. :)

  16. 23

Found this on Pinterest. Made for dinner last night and it was awesome!! With 6 of us, 1 lb doesn’t go far with regular tacos but this was enough for us with a little left over. (my taco loving son is a little sick, though, so I’m sure it will all be gone next time)
I mixed a generous cup of cheese with the meat mixture before filling. We each added our own sour cream, more cheese, salsa, lettuce, etc to eat.
    Quick, easy, and delicious!!!

  17. 24

I have made this with beef or chicken, it is very good. I make this for get togethers, when its my turn for cards, everyone loves it.

I make a “pizza” version. I take italian sausage out of the casing and brown with onion, bell pepper, & garlic (you can also use ground beef). I then put either pizza or spaghetti sauce on the cresents, spoon the mixture next. I put a slice of pepperoni along the top then sprinkle mozzerella cheese, fold over crescent rolls and bake. It’s wonderful. My nephews and I had that for supper last night.

  20. 27

  27. 34

I made this LONG before there was Pampered Chef

  28. 35

I made this tonight for dinner and was a little disappointed. The cresent rolls took away from the taco flavor. It was just ok.

  29. 36

That Taco Ring is such a great idea. And your website is awesome. Found you in Pinterest in case you wanted to know.

  30. 37

This is a Pampered Chef recipe you should give them the credit for it. It IS a published recipe of theirs.

  31. 38

Karen, It is not possible to copyright a recipe. So there is no need to give credit to Pampered Chef or anyone else.

  32. 39

Karen – This recipe is not the same exact recipe of theirs. I tweeked mine up a bit so I do not need to give them credit, because this is really “my” recipe.

  33. 40

before pampered chef exhisted this recipe did so that fact that they published it doesnt mean anything. You change one ingredient and it becomes yours….. Stop worrying about giving the wrong people credit
